Safeguarding

Commitment to Safeguarding

At Project Reset, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is at the heart of everything we do. We are fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment in which every individual feels respected, valued, and protected.

All tutors and mentors working with Project Reset are subject to robust safer recruitment procedures. This includes enhanced background checks, thorough referencing, and ongoing suitability assessments to ensure they are safe to work with children. We require all staff and associates to hold an Enhanced DBS check with a children’s barred list check and strongly encourage registration with the DBS Update Service to maintain up-to-date safeguarding status.

We recognise the challenges that children and young people face within education and wider life, and we take our responsibility seriously in identifying, responding to, and reporting any safeguarding concerns. All staff are trained to understand safeguarding procedures and are expected to act in accordance with current legislation and statutory guidance.

Our approach is centred on the individual. We work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure that each young person receives the appropriate support, guidance, and protection they need to thrive.

Project Reset maintains clear safeguarding policies and procedures, which are regularly reviewed to ensure they reflect current best practice and legal requirements. Any concerns about the welfare of a child are taken seriously and responded to promptly and appropriately.
